Relationships are quite the same thing as being bitten by a rattlesnake and hoping to survive without anti-venom. The problem however is no matter motherufucking insightful we try to be and no matter how considerate we are of another person's feelings, they will find a way of cutting us down no matter how little or minscule the problem may be, we still find some way or semblance of pissing them off even though we try contrive quite the opposite, ala trying not to be such a figment in another person's imagination or frame of thought. Faces will be faces, thoughts will be thoughts, but perhaps what matters most is that we are creators of our own destenies and not give a shit if we succeed or fail in such romantic relationships, if only for the fact if they fail we can pick ourselves back up and loves ourselves for who we are, and why not, since we are those who steer this ship the only way we know how and that is straight ahead and without consideration of defeat and deceit, since those are only building blocks and obstacles to overcome on one's own way of success in life.
