i'm having to learn to knit for a class on feminist perspectives on pedagogy and research methods. it is still not entirely clear why the professor is making us do this, but i must say it's addicting.
my life revolves around reading about 10 different texts for 3 different classes and keeping it all straight in my head. each professor seems to have the impression that they are the only class the student is taking.

today is valentines day. valentines day really has no meaning to me (even though i am not single). my mom;s birthday is today and as far back as i can remember any hope of a romantic v-day was obliterated by her celebration. even now that i'm older i guess i just got in the habit of not celebrating v-day. i did 3 years ago go to a fondue restaurant. that was alot of fun. our dinner reservations were for 10:30 at night though. it was well worth it. it's like dinner and a show.

well i'm off to write a paper on 19th century lesbians and try and prove that they did in fact exist.
