As we've seen quite a lot of Hopefuls go pink again lately - some of them girls who have been modeling on this site for several years - I'd be neglectful if I didn't appeal to the SG powers that be to consider turning the lovely @teva pink as well.
Frankly, during the February that was - Black History Month - it would have been great to see more models of color turn pink in general, but that doesn't mean it has to be too late just because we've entered March already. So this blog can be considered my contribution to raising some Teva awareness on this site!
Before anyone says I'm biased, let me just say this: You'd be absolutely right about that. But if you look at it from a chicken-or-the-egg angle - am I writing this post because I've become friends with her, or am I doing it because I support her modeling? - the answer is both. I was a follower and supporter of her modeling first and foremost for quite some time. I've just been lucky to become more acquainted with her along the way, so now I'm also being supportive as a friend, as our more personal conversations have only confirmed the impression I already had of her.
You see, Teva has been active here since 2007; the very year such a concept as Hopeful even began on this site. She's literally an OG Hopeful. Over the span of 11 years, she's been blowing our minds with her beauty through several sets. What I have also had the privilege of learning from her directly is how much care she puts into giving the sets a unique, individual personality, and how focused she is on detail and doing things right. It shows a true passion.
Moreover, her passion also shines through in her continuous presence on this site. Because the truth is, sometimes Hopefuls come and go. They join the site, post some Hopeful sets, then for one reason or another, they move on. But I truly believe that the reason Teva hasn't allowed herself to be discouraged is that she genuinely loves being in this community. Between sets, she is extremely supportive of her fellow models, SGs and Hopefuls alike. She's active in groups, regularly journals her own life through blog posts, and there are consistent signs of how kind, humble, down-to-earth, and filled to the brim with that warm and gentle Southern hospitality she is. Truly a gem of a Georgia peach who should not be ignored.
To me, Teva represents those mainstays that help define the spirit of the SG community itself. Beauty, sex appeal, an open heart, and tenacity. Hopefuls? Heck, if it weren't for the fact that I'm trying to help her go pink, I'd say that people like Teva should have their own category: Loyals.
Now, I can't claim I fully understand what combination of aspects leads to a model going pink; likes and comments don't always seem to be enough, so there seem to be other factors from one model to another. With that said, it's just my honest opinion that Teva is a person who has gone above and beyond to prove herself worthy, and that she should have earned her pinkness long ago. So this is me essentially posting a "pretty please, with sugar on top" to the staff. And for any other models and members reading this and agreeing with me, feel free to chime in with a "hear, hear!"
Please, let 2026 be the year Teva the Hopeful finally becomes Teva the SuicideGirl! 🙌🏻
