We're officially in September, and I think that from here on out, my music career will be fully revived. A bandmate in my new project has helped us find a rehearsal area that we can rent on a monthly basis, and we have the chance to star recording there as well.
Secondly, I'm making myself available to jam with other musicians outside of my own band, and who knows if they lead to secondary band projects. I like to balance between taking creative lead and to provide support for others' visions.
Both sides of that coin is generally a reminder of what I also have to bring to the table as a musician, after life has put me on the sideline for a few years too many, and I am reminded that I'm not just an audience member (which there's not anything wrong with in and of itself) but also a performer who can bring energy and joy to others.
It's going to be an exciting time and a reward to myself for everything I've had to endure on my healing journey.
