Got my new bike yesterday and built it up last night. It's a Salsa Juan Solo with the whole nine.
My friend Kurt spent the night last night. We woke up early and caught the bus up to Pine Flat. Bombed Fall Creek, crossed over to Bear Mtn., then went up and over UCSC to finish off on Fenceline Trail. This bike is hot. It accellerates up hills like a fucking rocket. It's much twitchier on the descents than what I'm used to but I'll get to trust it eventually.
Two races this weekend: PedX Alleycat on Saturday and the CCCX MTB finals on Sunday.
