May only the superstitious read on ....
I had a tarot card reading done by my roommate the other day, against my best wishes. I'm a Scorpio, and an avid believer in the idea the stars have a large role in our lives, personalities, etc. The idea of having a reading done was NOT appealing - I like to hide my demons and not face them, which may or may not be a foolish idea.
After relentless asking I finally let her do it, and I found out just what I knew, but now that I'm thinking about it, I have to make some changes. The jist of of the reading was that I'm very content with myself, but I need to be more open to be myself - specifically with my work.
Of course my work is filmmaking, and I know its true that I'm far to afraid to step out of my boundaries, and create works that are deeply personal. This is something I really need to work on, exposing myself to everyone and showing who I really am.
No doubt this is an extremely tough thing for me to do, and probably for everyone. I don't like being vulnerable, I don't like appearing weak, and I never want to let my guard down - who does? But I NEED to. The best work comes from the heart, and no one wants to see the same work over and over and over.
