I've just put my deposit down for CalArts - this means I'm bound for California sometime in August. I'm excited for that, but we'll see if a better offer comes up between now and then.
My first week in Michigan has been tons of fun. Mostly just the past two nights. I'm desperately trying to get a PA job on some of the films shooting here in the summer. De Niro has one coming that I'm really trying to jump on. I got to spend some time with some of the people that are going to be working on it and its been a good time, but its hard knowing that at some point in the conversation you need to beg for a job. I'm not a good beggar, I just like to take.
I got to see the Detroit Derby Girls tonight at the Masonic Temple and it was fucking amazing! It was way more fun than I thought it would be, and damn, those women can skate! I have to the next game - it was a riot.
