Keep in mind, all I wanted to do was fly from Boston to Detroit.

Yesterday night I had a flight from leaving Boston at 12:30 going to Philadelphia, and a flight from Philly to Detroit at 3:45 which would put me in Detroit at 5:45
Also I'm bringing back my girlfriends brothers cat.
Let the games begin!

Woke up this morning and my 12:30 to Philly was cancelled. Called the airlines, they put me on the 1:30 to Philly that would give me half an hour to catch the connecting flight. So I go back to sleep
Wake up at 10:30, and within an hour I was on a plane to Philly, I thought it was a Christmas miracle!
Wait . . . I end up sitting on the plane for an hour before it takes off, and then it has to circle around the Philly airport for another hour. That makes what is supposed to be an hour puddle jump, 4 hours including waiting
Whatever, I'm just in time for my flight to Detroit, and waiting is waiting. But . . . while I'm waiting in Philly airport, I get up and go to the bathroom. When I get back, my flight is cancelled!! WTF??
Now I have to figure out how I'm going to get, well, anywhere.
After waiting in two different lines, at 3:45 I talk to someone that can put me on stand by for the 8:45 flight to Detroit. Not good enough. Finally they type some shit in and find a flight leaving BOSTON going to DETROIT.
So I fly back to Boston (again the hour flight takes 3 hours due to delays and circling)
So that puts me here. Back in Boston. Its 8:50 and the plane is going to arrive at 10:00. When its done and said, I'll be in Detroit at 1:00am.
That'll make 14 and a half hours of traveling. It would have been faster to drive. Or walk.
