People prefer for art to be difficult, to be related to a complex task
which demands study, practice, dedication, a hierarchy of talent.
I disagree with all that. I think the creating of an object
that continues to exist, is just creating an object that
continues to exist. And that one's mind is
already capable of perceiving art in the way that
shadows form on a piss-stained and cracked cement floor
A skilled painter can be creative and play with
expectations, symbols, spacial relations, memories, novelties
but the physical product is not itself art. art doesn't exist as something separate and
whole all by itself. Without consciousness, art is just a bunch of molecules on a wall.
move forward in time far enough and the beautiful objects are gone
the loss of a piece of art is the loss of nothing at all.
the source of the experience is the spiritual abilities of ordinary people
the spiritual abilities involved in the observing, and the abilities involved in the forming.
every human being already has the ability to observe, and doesn't need advice.
and some objects will speak to them
and they might believe their the greatest thing ever
but their not the greatest thing, the greatest thing is the living observer
unless of course the living observer is some horrible person who kicks puppies, then
the greatest thing would need to be existence in general.
observing, forming, moving, by holding.
