On the winter solstice
there is the celebration of the birth
of the sun king.

On the summer solstice
there is the celebration of the birth
of zarathustra.

Well, obviously that's a fib
but zarathustra never really existed
and neither did the sun king

So its all the same.
Some of "thus spake zarathustra"
reads like a gnostic gospel

Wildly intriguing in places
the way it toys with reader expectations
and yet completely archaic / impenetrable right after.

Hats off to zarathustra's un-desire to create
on this muggy, yet unstormy
summer solstice day.
