In the end, they dont care where you end up,
they just want to be a party to it.
They dont care what becomes of others, though theyd prefer that others not surpass them in terms of future accomplishments. Theyre goal is to coerce you into accepting their own personal model of the world. The overly interested destroyer/helper with question after question, a manipulative nod, a seductive understanding smile, a leading purpose, guiding his young fool towards one of several doors. Schools train people to intuit what an authority figure expects in terms of a correct answer. A question gets asked. What do you think I would like you to say to this question. Now say it please. And agree that it makes sense. And be routed like a sheep. Im easily manipulated by various types of people. Id like to overcome this. Ive got to be able to face them head on, like other people seem to, and yet its suicide. Its easy to feel manipulated, its not as easy to tell exactly how ones being manipulated, and to keep ones temper even, and to defend oneself gracefully and to lay into them nonchalantly with counter-arguments that will affect them. So I stumble and fail. Bunch of jerks. As I continue bleeding, and usually healed within a couple days or so, but still, kind of a pattern, especially in the winter months. Its easy to think of arguments later on. Got to become quicker on my feet. Got to trust. But also to listen to words and to see completely what is really there, the whole context. What is their circumstance. What is their skill. What is their desire. What is their impression of themselves. And to keep a sense of humor, not to get all mad hatter. Theres a moment of simplification. What is infinite gets chopped into sections so that it can fit more snugly into the model. They want to define the other as an aspect of their world. And so, the tendency is to define them back. Thats probably a massive waste of time. Its probably better to transcend the back and forth, except at the moment where you can truly piss them off, because thats hilarious, and will cause them to make the big mistake, the massive opening, that if youre fast, can give you peace of mind.
