Lets say that Hell is a psychological state
characterized by dread
and the desire for something that
cannot be obtained because it
exists in the past.

So how can the denizens of hell escape and free themselves from fear about the future and desire about the past?
by an act of will?
by an accident of chance?
by the realization of some singularly helpful truth?
by saying various words?
by being understood?
by purchasing "the drama of the gifted child?"
by confidently behaving as though they've already escaped?
by not being a self-absorbed asshole?
by inviting friends into their life?
by grieving in a special way (i.e. in the presence of another)?
by taking a reality break with heroine?
by helping somebody, or some cute animal, or someone not yet born?
by seeing a professional therapist who believes the heart and soul are illusions and easily dispensed with?
by writing a story that everyone will love?
by selling pictures of doors, ladders, and assorted passageways to freedom?
by becoming famous and important so that everyone will know them?
