Today was a relaxing day. Which is a nice break from the insanity of late.
So, before I went out to Alchemy I went to see the NSO (Itzchak Perlman was playing) with my mom and some llama from work. He was an all right guy, but didn't make too much of an impression on me. Anyway, the next day the mother fucker gets the boot and my department is responsible, so, of course I get the whole scoop. Now, this llama is a friend of my mom so I give her the dodge and crash at a friendly place Friday night until the heat blows over.
Came back tonight, everything is ok I don't think she knows yet. It'll be easier for me to give her the slip during the week I think. I'm betting she'll sit on me for answers until I give them to her, I talked to the powers that be at work and they told me to keep my yapper shut. So, I expect melodrama in the next few days.
In other news, the folks I spent the night with were really nice. I cleaned their ground floor (living room, dining room, kitchen, day room) which I found to be very theraputic. Since I got paid this past Friday I decided to treat myself to some new music, DVD, chinese, and a mag or two.
I picked up the new Industrial Nation, christ I hadn't read that magazine since middle school, as far as I knew they had gone out of business for a while but now they're back. Also picked up Covenant - Northernlight, Assemblage 23 - Defiance, and 25th Hour which was very disappointing. The first few cuts off the Covenant album are all right, and I haven't had a chance to listen to the Assemblage 23 album as of yet.
