So I really need to ad something to this tatt on my arm as its taunting me for more inky company, so I'm racking my brain for something thats awesome but not done often. Any suggestions?

As for the tattoo- how do you feel about celtic knotwork? I have a couple ideas I can draw up if you like.
I'm thinking continue the step-work all around the circumference, but maybe vary it a bit. Put some knotwork inside the donut, or maybe a proper celtic spiral. Or, on the subject of spirals, perhaps linking the whole thing into a trio of spirals, all joined together. That might be kinda cool. I've always thought that celtic knotwork is done quite a bit, but spirals don't tend to be. They're probably a bit tricky, so if you go that route you'd want to have a lot of confidence in the tatt artist.
