Its funny, I seem to be blogging a lot more on here. Which is good considering I only have one person I know in real life as a friend on here. Now, a lot more doesn't mean much as I never blogged much to begin with, either way, more is more.
Anyway..... something has been on my mind for about a week now. I'm not sure how to describe it, its not negative however it leans more towards the negative side. Then again, the when you think about the specific feels associated with the ideals in their purest form it is a positive feeling. See how its kind of a mixed bag? I have been fixated on the ideals of being a good person, specifically those associated with honor, integrity, truthful, honesty, being referent, trustworthy, hard working, helping others, ethical, and morality.
Now when thinking about these ingrained personal traits I feel warm, fuzzy, and I try to live by them in my day to day life. Now for the mixed bag, I get to thinking about how these ideals used to be upheld and were something people tried to uphold and live by. Now I see a lot less of this in our society today. People look at those that are honest and tell the truth as goody goodies, and those that strive take the moral high ground or as weak and weird for not giving into peoples baser instincts of violence and anger.
Its just been on my mind as of recent and specifically thinking about the future and what will the next generation think is a acceptable way to live their lives, what evils will come to light in the coming years and darkness will descend upon the world. Conversely what new people will find these ideals, be taught all of the good things in this world, and truly strive to uphold and defend them. Who will walk with the light and bring and not let the world fall into the darker side of human actions.
Perhaps I'm a bit wet behind the ears, or have a idealized concept of how people should strive to act. Who knows.... Just been on my mind.
