Sometimes you're just blindsided.
One of my best friend's girlfriends just broke up with him out of the blue. He is such a great guy, such a good friend and I was just hanging out with him and a couple others playing "settler" (a board game) the other night. I was admiring the pair of purple pointy slippers he had and he told me that his girlfriend also has a pair and there they were all lined up together...
I am really really really sad about this.
Add that to the other totally un- awesome experiences of the day and it's become clear that I never even should have woken up this morning.
Or even come home.
I need a drink.

Yeah, believe me, I know blind-sided. My ex-gf of five years broke up with me without warning a year and a half ago or so, it still kind of boggles the mind to think about it...
