please tell me that I am just drunk and overtired and that this doesn't need to make me cry, that it doesn't represent all the creatures out there- plant or animal- that are just trying to find a good home.

I always get real emotional around christmas. Even happy things will make me cry. It's okay though. Just overwhelming.
