New and improved, I thought of more seeds for it...still not totally perfect so if one song annoys you just go to the next...I Slept a couple, anyway, because although I don't want to hear them I think they are good to Thumbsup so the "gene sequence" doesn't get too broken. Otherwise you hear the same 5 songs over and over, because REALIZE you only want to hear that song. Or that group.
Like Gypsy Arroyo Radio. It started from Calexico. Before I tried Pandora I just wanted ALL CALEXICO ALL THE TIME. And I did. For 3 months.
But, then I wanted stuff similar and guess what? They aren't very normal.

And so I was Thumbsdowning a bunch of stuff, and now it's like Calexico with 2 other bands that have like 3 songs each that are similar or maybe my tastes changed in the middle anyway....


That's why I don't have an....
ANYWAY
stupid Flashes, the whole time thing is weirding me out.

OH HEY I remember. That's why I don't have an Amy Winehouse Radio on Pandora. Because I want to hear her. She is like no one else, and no one else can be her. Please Amy, make some more music....

I may play with that a bit later. I do have some thoughts on the artists you won't put into Pandora though: If you like Amy Winehouse, I bet you'd like the Detoit Cobras who have been around a bit longer and record mostly sixties surf rock b sides. Not exactly the same, but Rachel Naghy has a great voice.

You're right about Calexico, they're unique. When this happens, I usually wander off into the records of artists that are friends with, have recorded with or toured with the band in question. In Calexico's case, this lead me to Califone and Grizzly Bear. Actually, I found Calexico via this method through Neko Case (oh, the the places you can go following her musical friends list).
