Last night I was driving to a friends house and had to take a detour bcse a house was on fire. I saw the huge white hot flames and the billowing tower of smoke.It was a business, not a residence. But I wanted to stand there and watch it burn, it was so incredible. I felt bad. I am glad I have Burning Man to see such a thing without the implied suffering of those whose house it was...
Then on my way back I saw a deer running through a strip mall totally confused and frightened and then 2 raccoons squeezing themselves into a storm drain.
what an odd night.
