I'm still really really sad about this. Fucking horrific.I think that Staten Island lost the most people out of all the boroughs in the WTC. And now this. When can they get a little love? We get harrassed for not being part of the "city" even though we are, meanwhile the rest of the boroughs dumped all their trash there until very recently.
These people...they were my people...commuters, going home, just as I sat with folks going to the towers every day on that boat. Maybe they wouldn't seem like exceptional people from the outside, probably hum drum. But they are good people. I am happy I wasn't on the boat, my imagination is far too vivid ...You get a habit of what deck to sit on, what side, etc.The side I sat on is completely demolished. I just can't stop thinking about it.
