kay. I have a bit of a breather...
sewing marathon. Almost completely done with costumes, except for a hat. lost the piece of fabric at the same time we were both fucking up in general, making stupid mistakes etc. so fabric say "You stop now!!" I hope we find it tomorrow.
--- A bit of complete mundanity to illustrate prep stuff. Today I handsewed pieces of velcro to eggcrate foam for the baffler. This is the box that surrounds the genny. We velcro the foam so that when the whole thing comes apart. So when we break down the structure and travel to our next destination (being a MOBILE chill space) the boards pack flat. Tedious but necessary details to make things run smoothly.
Bah.
---I have to get my stuff ready to go into the truck by 4 pm tomorrow. I have to test my new tent in the yard. I have to bleach and dye my hair, buy more food etc.
This is boring sounding I know. But soon soon I will be home. truly. I can feel it in my bones and sense memory the excitement and energy that builds especially every time I see the sun going down. And I know that it will be over before I can blink, practically. The man burns in 9 days. I can't believe it.
I left everything to the last minute. But it wasn't my fault really- I was waiting for a check. My hands were tied. whatever.
-----Do I have the mental capacity to continue organizing? Or am I just toast and afraid to face it?
