Kay. finally got a little sleep in, but still not enough. And I am going to this all night dance thing, SOBER. Guess I'll be getting some sleep there! Actually, one forgets that is it is super easy to do the same things straight that one does on drugs (like stay up all night). But I also realized that it is also nice to sleep amidst my people partying. It is comforting to me. Why go home to my bed by myself, when I can nap around all my friends?
I have been listening to Doves "Lost Souls" which has slowly grown on me song by song until I must hear the whole album through. At least I can hear it without bawling every time it gets to song 9... I am such a crybaby though, it's insane!
I went to this poetry reading last night, and was teary eyed at practically every poem! There were ones about children in this woman's neighborhood and that she works with and it just got to me, the hope that they will grow up to be strong and good humans and not all fucked up like the people around them and the innocence that still hangs around them in shreds...

Speaking of shredding innocence there was this boy volunteering at the poetry place and he was sooooo cute and so young, a sophomore in college, smooth dark black skin and vibrant smile and I was flirting with him so badly!
He probably can't even buy a drink!
