The neighborhood is dying


The neighborhood is dying
Death throes ring outside the windows
Pimps unable to sell their wares
Dealers realizing their shit
Won't get you away from here

Jerry Springer becomes God
blaring through the walls
proclaiming like holy scripture
that people have it worse

A couple fucks on on a car below my window
Naked skin bleeding on flaking paint
Baptizing the hood
As rusted shocks sing their gospel

Roaches and rats
huddle with fear in the corner
Wrapped in their disease
afraid to touch anything

The neighborhood is dying
We took without thinking
And like all landlords
It wants what is due

And on a side note: My mothers book is finally published!!! Which means i'm going to get pressed to put my stuff out but here is a link cause I have to be a book whore now.
