Hey Hey Kids!
Here I am again, back in Massachusetts after almost a year out on the Renaissance Faire circuit... I'm so glad to be home. The road is fun, but I've got a strong maritime streak in me, from my mother's side of the family. I think it makes me want to roam, but always return.
So this year I've been to Florida, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas ( :shudder: ), Arizona, and Colorado (in vaguely that order). It's been crazy, and waaaaay too many stories to tell here. The Massachusetts show starts in a few weeks here, and then it's off to Louisiana for Halloween in N'awlins. I can't wait. Plus, they have drive-thru daquiris near the faire site. When I was there last year, I never drank so much in my damn life, and I loved it.
The drive here from Colorado was hell; the girl I gave a ride to Michigan to gave me about 1/3 the money for gas I thought she was going to, my van died in Colorado so I had to get a new (used) one, I'm $2000 in FURTHER debt to my parents because of that, and I ran out of both gas and money in Pennsylvania, and had to sell DVDs to gas station attendants to make it back here on fumes.
:sigh:
But, good news, my new van is schweet! Full conversion, swiveling and reclining seats, power everything, cruise control... I'd say it was "blinged out", if I wasn't painfully caucasian.
Renee, the lovely Straight Edge girl I was planning to date when I returned, has told me that she doesn't think it would be a good idea. She still wants to hang out, and be friends. I don't blame her. I'm not boyfriend material. Shit, I'm out of the state for 9 months out of the year. It's a good thing. Now I don't have to feel guilty about indulging my wilder pleasures. I think this is going to be a good show this year...
