I am JUST enough older than you to have been old enough to "get it" when it came to Miami Vice. Especially when talking about the first three seasons from '84 to '86. My first teen years. I was able to appreciate the complex plots and especially the fact that the good guys didn't always win. In fact, more frequently didn't. That was sorta refreshing and compelling. Looking back now 20+ years later a lot of it feels cheesy and overly dramatic. But it still has style. And for its time it was really edgy and groundbreaking.

The Dukes of Hazard, on the other hand, was just about stunts and silliness. Not that I didn't also love that show. Except for that embarrassing season with the replacement "Dukes".
