OK, all better! If you like I can tell you all about the flu and subsequent (unrelated) bizarre allergic reaction that has kept me feeling crappy and antisocial the last 2 weeks. But that's all done with. Now, who wants to arm wrestle?


In other news of my life: I'm going to Portland for 6 weeks this summer--through July and the first half of August. A friend of mine needs a sublet for that period and it works out just right for me. Man, I can't wait. I've been missing that place something fierce. And summer in PDX is lovely, whereas July and August in Chicago pretty much blows. (How can any place be so hot and so cold? It boggles my mind.)

Saw Pete Krebs lst night at Schubas. He's a musician I used to know (slightly) from Portland. (Mopey singer songwriters grow there like mushrooms, by the way.) He's a swell fella and it was a great show. (There's a bunch of downloads on his site if you're curious. It's melodic pop with some counrtry and jazz touches.) Then I stayed up too late all buzzed, playing Baldur's Gate II. Hee hee. Now I'm somewhat hung over, but fairly happy.
