Ahh, the first hangover of the new year is always so special. Went to a couple of parties held by my theater friends. Drunkenness was acheived, witty banter was made, and I got several New Year's kisses from some very nice-smelling girls. A good time all in all. Oh, and I chatted up a casting agent, so that's a good thing.
Personally, I'm more than ready for the holidays to be over so I can get back to my various life projects. Life is short and I've got a bunch to do. First thing: get back to the damned gym a couple of times. Second: go out on a coffee date with this girl I recently met. Third: finish the video project I'm working on (more on this later).
Currently listening to: Bela Lugosi's Dead by Bauhaus
Currently re-reading: the hangover chapter of Kingsley Amis On Drink. Here's a smaple:

They omit altogether the psychological, moral, emotional, spiritual aspects: all that vast, vague, awful, shimmering metaphysical superstructure that makes the hangover (fortunately) a unique route to self-knowledge and self-realization."

that's rad that you got that book. i personally like, as i mentioned before, the chapter on the 'metaphysical hangover' and the part where he recommends "vigorous" sex to cure a hangover (if there is someone there, of course).
