So I went to this play today and had to get there super-early to get on the waiting list for it as it was sold out. While waiting I started talking to this girl (who was also waiting) and had just the best time. We talked for a long time and at one point both got up and went to lunch together with no discussion that that was what we were doing. It's very strange but pleasant when you hit it off so immediately with someone you've just met. And even when you do, such conversations have a certain reserve--but this was like we were instant easygoing friends. Oh, and she was very cute, I should mention.
After the play she said she'd ahad a great time hanging out with me. But did I get her number? I did not. I almost asked, almost, but... I dunno. It was such a perfect interaction--this brief connection with a stranger--that I was sort of afraid of ruining that. Also, she was kinda, um... young. I don't think there's anything wrong with that in theory, but it made me a bit hesitant.
No matter, it was a really nice thing anyway. But if I run into her again--I think it will be fate telling me to get her digits.
