Okay Chicago is heading to a high in the 50s and it's snowing in Portland? WTF? The world is turned upside down.
What a freakin' busy day. Woke up hung over (of course) and spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to go to brunch with friends, but every place--even greasy spoons with weak-ass coffee and cockroaches running over the grill--still had lines out the door. (You know what I need? A breakfast speakeasy--a secret brunch place that only caters to a select membership and always has a table for me.) Then I went to record a voice-over audition with a friend of mine and then finally downtown to work where I stayed doind officey stuff until 10:30pm. Geez, I'm pooped and after a brief dalliance here at SG, I'm falling into the arms of morpheus.
Regardless, my Chicago visit is rushing to its thrilling conclusion. It certainly hasn't felt like a vacation, what with holiday duties and my working full time. I've had fun, but I'm looking forward to getting back to PDX, if only so that I can get some sleep.

Holidays suck for getting together, really ... there's never enough time, what with the family obligations and all.
If you're free tomorrow (Friday), I'm cooking at Estelle's from 6-midnight if you want to swing by. They're open til 4 but I dunno how long I'll stick around after my cooking shift is over.
