Ahhh... holiday obligations are at an end, and it's a lovely thing indeed. I got for Christmas:
A sweater I really like (a black, thin, v-necked cashmere... mmmm)
Some books that look interesting
The same set of gloves that my Oma gets me every Christmas (I loose a pair a year so it's actualy not a bad gift)
Some cash that I can really use (as resettling in Portland has rather drained the ol' exchequer)
Tickets to Urinetown (wich was pretty darn fun)
Now I get to enjoy the rest of my Chicago visit relatively pressure-free. Besides seeing my Chicago friends, I 'm going to try and see a bunch of shows. The theater scene is the one thing I really miss about Chicago. On the other hand, Portland's burlesque scene beats Chicago hands down--now if only I was a hot dancer rather than a somewhat zauftig actor...
