Well, summer's over--not of course that you'd know it living in Los Angeles. I swear this was the summer that wasn't, everywhere I went, it was cool and overcast and the whole thing went by in a flash. So let's see, this summer I...

--Sat on my ass, lamenting being dropped by my commercial agent. Boo!

--Tired to death of sitting around, I spent some time in Portland and then embarked on a 2-week bicycle tour from Portland to Astoria and then down the coast to Eureka, California. This was, I have to say, a damn awesome experience. Yay!

--Days after my return, I acted like a damn fool and fell off my bike, bruising the hell out of my ribs. Had to go around wincing for the next 3 weeks. (Remeber kids: drinking and practicing bike tricks does not mix.) Boo!

--Actually managed to find a voice-over agent in L.A. (Heck, it only took me a year and a half.) Yay!

--Spent too much time for my taste in Chicago dealing with various day-job crises.

So all in all, I'm ready to move on past the whole summer thing and get my act together for Fall. Can I successfully combine high levels of both productivity and debauchery? We shall see, we shall see.

On the debaucherous side, I'm turning (eek!) 40 next week and celebrating with a party on the 19th in Portland. Oh yes, it's on.
