Well it's been a damned good week. Saw The Decemberists this past Tuesday--that was terrific. They put on a fun show. I believe I even danced a little jig during "The Mariner's Revenge Song."

Friday I got my picture in the Sun Times for the play I'm in. That was cool (in a completely vain way)--I could get used to this good press thing. And, best of all Friday night I went to the SG Live Burlesque show. The show was good (although despite the hot ladies and good performances, the venue was not ideal--unless you were right up by the stage it was hard to see anything) and I ran into some SG Chicago friends. After the show I got to hang out after with fellow ex-PDXer Nixon, who (just in case she doesn't know it) is of my very favorite people.

We went to the L & L (one of my favorite Chicago dives) with the charming Fanny and the kick-ass Fractal. We closed the dive and then proceeded to Berlin where some crazy dancing was involved. (Even some by me, up on a plaform.) Then off for some late night diner food.

All in all an awesome evening. Besides the loveliness of the Burlesque show, I got to hang out with an old friend and meet some great new people as well. No complaints here. Now I am going to get ready to go to my play and act all sensitive and English for a few hours.
