The cold is fading.

I didn't get the job I was going for; I'm not that upset, except that I didn't get a real shot at it. Because it's at a place owned by the same company as the one I work for now, the red tape tangled up my ambition and cut it off at the knees.

I'm taking it as a sign that I need to get out of the hotel business now. I never wanted to be in it, anyways, so it's time to look elsewhere; back to normal restaurants, I go.

This could be a chore. And I'm probably going to end up making a lot less money, which is going to be tough in this town.
