Fucking awesome birthday party. Seriously.
One whole beef brisket, one whole chicken, 2 racks of pork ribs, and 30 lbs of live crawfish.
And one Hell of a great crowd of people.
You know how sometimes you throw a party and people just flake out and it ends up being sort of sad?
Not to worry on this one. I probably invited about 35 people, and I'd guess that close to 50 actually showed up, at least for a little while. It ran in shifts ... some people were here early, some came later, some stayed the whole time, most sort of drifted in and out.
It was perfect. Seriously, that was the most fun party I think I've ever thrown.
There was so much beer in the fridge at one point that we couldn't fit anymore in. That didn't last too long, though, we got through it all. And all the food got eaten. There was cake, and balloons, and an open record player so people could play whatever Henry or I had laying around that they wanted to hear. There were presents, and beer, and whiskey, and I think I was given 3 bottles of wine.
But mostly ... fucking stellar crowd of people. Awesome.

i was there for the full musical extravaganza. pretty cool. i thought you were just bs'n the whole time about playing drums.
