So we were in the new place yesterday getting it all organized and cleaned up and we were about to start cooking stuff, when we realized neither of the ovens worked. That's a bit of a downer.

The repair guys are supposed to be out this afternoon to fix it all. $6000 stoves shouldn't be broken when you install them, I think.

she drinks in the pub we go in, always in there after the shop shuts. got talking to her a while back, tattoos came up, and that leads us to where we are now. i'm sooooooo excited! biggrin

Any of you that read this stuff know that I've been in on the opening of a brand new restaurant the last several weeks. The place is going great, and I love the people I work with (mostly).

But it's also 20 miles from my house, and the gas prices keep going up, and it's costing me about $300/mo in gas to drive over there...

Restaurant is going great, we're busy all the time. It's hectic and crazy, which is fine. Things are coming together.

Long days. Just doing brunch tomorrow, then open finally for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Monday.

It's rough ... we could use a few more cooks on staff. About to be a lot of long days, I think.
