just a question for everyone... if someone came to your home and tried to help you deal with rebuilding it and getting on with your life, would you shoot them because the insurance company tried to screw you ever?

the upside is that i'm not one of the 2 adjusters that have been shot so far.

for the most part... the home-owners that i have been in touch with, are realistic of the fact that making it out alive was the most important thing. i'm not going to say that there is an upbeat attitude in new orleans, but it is far from being one of despair. if the people i am meeting are any indication, this is a strong willed city filled with determined people.

earlier today, i had one woman tell me that, although she had lost everything when her house was under 20 feet of water, she would rebuild and get her life back. ordinarily, this isn't necessarily that impressive of a comment.. but when you are told this by an 82 year old woman that lives by herself and has endured what she has in the past month; it tends to carry a little more weight.

oh well... enough rambling. everyone play nice and i'll be back eventually.
