What a weekend! Im sore all over and I think Im hungover. Hangedover? Fuck it.
At the cast party on Sunday, we set up the 100-foot-long homemade slipnslide that served as the Jones Falls in the show and had a blast throwing ourselves down it repeatedly in the dark. Holy shit, was that EVER so much FUN! We had it on the hill behind the...

Well hope all went well darling...now you shall some time to relax and take it easy...
The show kicked ass last night, and people have told me that it's the best Fluid Movement show yet. Maybe it's because the audience have been sitting outside in the park enjoying adult beverages before and during the show,
which is exactly what the cast and crew were doing, heh.
Today's favorite poem is by Margaret Atwood, which I find stunningly succint: it says so...

Got your app to SG Motorcycles. Please post in MY journal a little bit about what you ride, where, how long you've been riding, etc. If you don't currently ride, say something about why you should be a member of SGMC anyway. Anything to let me know you're for real will do. If you know a current SGMC member, have him/her leave me a note in my journal.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm sorry i never meneat to come across that way , i wasnt dissapointed i was a bit peived csaue your one freind kept on hittong me in the face with his umbrella the whole time at the movie and i pushed hsi umbrella over a bit few times only for him to push it back. I was only shadowing you casue well your the only person i knew at the time and well I really dont hang out that much in the actual city ever. I guess this is what i get for peopel reading me by my cover instead of actually reading me inside. I had talked to one of your feirnd s though and i thought she was nice and i would liek to hang otuwithher as a friend too but I'm always afraid to ask and talk to peopel casue its not my social group I'm the outsider, not very many peopel ever understand that csaue tehere already in established things and well me I sortof got nothing established.
okay but anywyas how do you pronounce it , i only typed ti that ways alwasy csaue teh few peopel that ive heard say the word alwasy promounced it witha U sound.
we can still write though at least I meen that doesnt harm anythign really and I will write less too so I dont seem so anoying .
I'm sorry I never meant to come across that way to everybody else ,,,,
I knwo i wont get to see you anytime soon and well if i have to adhere to that tehn so be it. I only hope that i will one day get to give you your birthday gift. It tears me apart inside that I cant see my best and only freind but if writing on here is all i got left tehn i'll take it I will not give up on you my freind and I will not end a freindship over such a silly thing as confused signals.
by the way this is all be said in calm voice.
I want to send you that poem still but i dunno if i should send it on here or thru your e-mail, i dont want your husband to get mad if he learns that you got it from me thats all.
I'm sorry that htis is so long I'm glad though i still have you as my freind and I hope we can continue this freindship althoguh a bit faltered it will be for whatever time tha peopel dislike me.
your freind always
Todd

There's a major motion picture ("Syriana") starring George Clooney and Matt Damon being filmed at my workplace this week. Unfortunately, Clooney and Damon are not in the scenes being filmed, damndamndamn.
The good news is that I have been "discovered!" The bad news is that I was "discovered" by the film crew, not by any casting agents/directors/producers. Some of the crew approached Tom, our young...

Hey I've been wanting to learn how to belly dance you gotta show me sometime...I think it is so incredibly sexy
Overheard at Otakon:
"It's a long story involving focaccia and cunnilingus..."
Unfortunately, I was not the one to overhear that line. Had I been, I would have pressed for details.
Today's favorite poem is by Sharon Olds:
"Sex Without Love
How do they do it, the ones who make love
without love? Beautiful as dancers,
Gliding over each other like ice-skaters
over the ice, fingers...

Oh, and THANKS for the compliment on the photo! It is one of my favs.

Yeah, I bristled initially at the "burning bush" cap. I mean, how did they know!?
The photo in the hardcopy of the CP is much better than the pic in the online version.

I am sooooo wiped out from working at Otakon. Otakon is giant fun for me, not because I like anime and les choses japonaises, but because for a few blessed precious days, I'M the NORMAL ONE in the room! I am looking forward to going back to work so I can rest.
And I *do* need to rest. This is "hell week" for the show,...

I'm glad you like the poem, Windy. It can be said that Auden writes with more heat than light, but I seem to have an affinity for "warmth, close in darkness." What do you make of the last stanza? My gin-soaked brain can't seem to figure it out.
bi_photo_chick:
My darling I got your email but when I relpied it gave me an email demon
feel free to email me personally anytime you like...of IM me at the same addy...I am usually invisable but you can try anyway
No, dear Windy, I don't mind at all! My favorite poems? I have so many! I'll give them to you slowly, one at a time.
And you gotta show me yours. I'll show you my underwears and my favorite poems if you show my your underwears and favorite poems. (I'm kidding about the underwears. For now.
)
Today's poem is "The Kiss" by Anne Sexton,...

Ooh! Todd! That's a good one! Care to tell what it is about the poem you like? Here it is:
"A Dream Within a Dream
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow--
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand--
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep--while I weep!
O God! can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?"

This Friday they're showing "Like Water for Chocolate" at the outdoor film festival in my neighborhood. I like that movie. Magic realism rings my bell.
