The wedding was a success. I took about 80 pictures of the entire weeked. Except of the ceremony, Tailin took those. I hope to have some up soon, especially since they are also promised to the family.
Getting to rehearsal was a mess, but we made it and it went well. It wasn't traffic, it was the directions. Then I got locked out of her mom's house when I took the dog for her morning walk. But we got our hair done, got the the church, played hide the tattoo, and the ceremony was beautiful.
The reception was lots of fun, the DJ was pretty good, and then we all went to the shore to hang out after. Almost all of the bride's mom's side of the family came down, and we hung out on the front porch and drank and talked. I found out that my man's aunt and godmother has the same initials as this site (SG) so I hooked her up with some stickers. She's the only one in the family who I'm not worried about judging me/us for hanging out here.
Yesterday we came home early to beat the traffic, made up for a weekend with the family
, and then headed to our friends' house for a cookout and a quick game of Scene It, before heading home to bed for the real world today. A hot and humid and yucky world.
But, this week and the next are only four days long, so I guess I'll hold out. Then, it's camping time!
