wow, what a fucking week its been. I am so fucking sick of the snow. It was seriously negative something at 6am thursday morning. They stopped the trucks at our wharehouse from leaving until it warmed up. Problem was I and my buddy had already left. Dumbass me forgot to wear two pairs of socks or my long underwear. Luckily the cold was somewhat manageable by 11am, but i still didn't finish working until 4:30pm. So my boss had the bright idea to go to the bar and buy me a beer or two since I won't be working with him too much longer. Well, four friends and six pitchers later its 8pm and i'm finally getting a ride home. Yes, i made the smart decision and got a ride. Then was back at work at 5:30am this morning. Rewinding, my cable went out on wednesday, my one day off of the week (still not back on) so i've been sitting at home getting pissed off because i'm so bored. There isn't a damn thing to do in Ames, especially when its too cold to go outside.

Better news time. It sounds like i will be getting my own beer delivery route in about two weeks. Doesn't sound like the greatest route, but its my own route, its a pay increase, and i wont ever have to go to Cub foods ever again. (not sure how many times i've wished for its demise.) now i just need some new boots because the Doc Martens I have don't do shit in the snow. I've lost count of how many times i've almost fallen, including the one time i actually did.

anyway, i'm surprisingly in a good mood. I've been listening to a lot of music lately and not my usual listening. If anyone is interested check out Zack Hexum, the younger brother of 311's lead singer. His music is freakin sweet (in my best Peter Griffin voice.) Also Pete Francis of Dispatch is awesome. you can find them both on myspace.
