Just got back tonight from home. What a long weekend. These past years it has just been too much to handle, so much going on in my life. Losing family members is not fun.

Anyways I don't want to make another depressing post, Thanks to all of you who sent me messages of support I apreciate it.

Not a good day. I just found out that my grandmother passed away this morning. just not a good day, i don't even know how to handle this. I have been so emotionally tuned out and exhausted since my mother passed away that i don't even know how to feel, and i feel so awful that i haven't been able to shed a tear yet,...

it wouldn't load at all...i waited and waited and waited...

and i know how you feel about that void inside after someone you love dies. my friend ian died of a heroin overdose. we were like brother and sister, hung out every day, went on vacations together...and when he died, i found myself shocked, then lulled into a kind of nothingness. i kissed his forehead at the viewing like it was a stranger, or a doll. and at the funeral when everyone was crying, i sat there unmoved. i realized it was shock...and disbelief. a person carries that with them no matter what they tell themselves or believe. i am so sorry this happened to you. don't try to cry if you can't. just remember.

Ok I am going on a rant here. I just finished watching the Michael Jackson special for the second time. Did you even watch it or were you one of those people like the media, or the ones who just watched the news clips(editing out anything that michael jackson said). --- sorry that part was to a post on the message board, but i wanted...

i agree about how the media makes michael jackson out to be some creepy bad guy. the living with michael jackson special was completely unfair to him in the sense that the interviewer presented questions in a way that would make michael look like a freak after the editors got in there and cut out certain scenes and warped it into what they wanted it to be. but he still is a strange guy, regardless of what the media has to say or doesn't have to say about it. the plastic surgery, the peter pain fantasy, etc. he's not a bad guy, and i think what he's done as far as support for children goes is amazing, but you have to admit that some of those things he says do bring on a bit of suspicion. i doubt anyone will ever know if what happened between him and that boy is true, but the idea in itself is still creepy to parents and kids everywhere.
ah well this is getting longer than i expected it to be. tongue

hah i could imagine drinking loses its novelty once you hit 22 or so. half of the thrill is usually the fact that you're not allowed to be doing it when you're underage, etc. i will enjoy the fact that i will be able to walk into a bar and order away, but half the thrill will be gone. ah well.

don't go out driving. and keep your car snow free...get a broom or something. delaware and maryland are in state of emergency, and it's a motherfucking BITCH to try to dig your car out of a 4 foot drift whilst freezing your BOOTAY off. stay warm, and stay in.

It is about 7am. just finished watching Amelie. I have to admit i really enjoyed it. call me less of a man if you wish, but it was a beautiful film. It was shot beautifully and at times i kept forgetting to read the subtitles i was getting pulled into the imagery so much. Thank you to everyone i saw mentioning this film this weekend...

Yeah, Audrey Tautou is adorable smile
I'll have to check that movie out! I'm a big fan of the French films, I used to watche everything I could get my hands on when I was in high school. Now they seem to be focusing quite a bit on the more out-there stories and beautiful visuals, which I really enjoy. They have some really great comedies as well. ("Mama, There's a Man in My Bed'", "La Cage aux Folles", "Barjo", etc.) I just bought "Jean de Florette" the other day, which is depressing as all hell but very interesting, and it has the distinction of being one of the few films with Gerard Depardieu that I can stomach. wink
euterpe:
I know what you mean... I couldn't help but catch myself smiling during that movie too. smile

And thanks. wink

I have been seeing a lot of people saying that they watched Amelie this weekend. I have yet to check it out. However I am downloading it on my computer because everyone seems to like it and I have heard a lot of talk about it before so i am finally going to check it out. There is only about a half hour left on...

That's such a fantastic movie.. one of my favourites... Audrey Tautou is SO incredibly gorgeous too. *le sigh*

Hope you find something nice for your girlfriends birthday. :]
alyssum:
Actually, everything by that director that I've seen is awesome! As the artiste, I think you'll especially appreciate it. Such beatiful colors...
Actually your plan was what I'd intended to do, oh so many years ago. Obviously yours is on a much better track as you're within sight of graduation. wink

I talked to her for a little bit but that just made it worse...

That sounds rather depressing! It's been a very long time since I had the joy of a long-distance relationship which was, fortunately, a very short-term condition. He had to stay there over my birthday and that was far and away the worst birthday of my life. Yuck. frown

I talked about going to the art school un Portland for graduate school, but I think that requires that you first graduate! wink That sounds like a lot of fun. What are you going to do with your degree when you get that far?

Well I just found out where i will be when i graduate.I will be going to grad school in San Francisco. Watch out everyone there will be a new guy in town.

my momma would be so proud of me frown smile
