So I may have met a man. But I don't want to get ahead of myself with him. I mean, he seems to like me and all, but I don't want to get my hopes up too soon. He's in a band, which is always a major source of attraction for me. And it's actually a good band! Major awesome points. He has a job, a real job, and I assume makes good money. I dunno that, actually. But he's a computer programmer, they have to make decent flow. And he's cute, I mean, really cute. Sexy, even. Blonde hair...tall enough (he's 5'9 which isn't tall for some people but it's a whole 8 inches taller than me)...just very cute. His name is Scott. He's 28, REAL PERSON age. Thank god.

And I may be a huge dork, but I met him on a dating site. OKCupid, in fact, which I noticed a lot of people have been taking their quizzes recently. I only joined to get some quiz results, then put up a profile to see if anyone seemed to like me. A couple of people responded previously, but no one I really thought I matched with. One was a ffm poly trio that was looking for a playmate (uhm, no), one was a guy who seemed okay except that he dropped out of college and is living at home with his parents and has no motivation to change that...and another one was an extremely obese man who didn't match any of my qualifications WHATsoever. Not to mention I do have a slight problem with people that don't take any care of themselves at all. I mean, believe me, I understand the plight of being overweight, I really really do. But I am also active. I like playing sports, I like going outside and doing active things. I don't really want to get involved with someone that doesn't like that stuff too. Not to mention the site gave us a compatability rating of less than 50%. That's just silly.

Anyway, I stumbled across Scott's profile and he had a picture of himself playing guitar, which immediately caught my eye. *swoon* He seemed really interesting from his profile, we had a very good compatability rating, and he lives only an hour from here. So then this thing popped up telling me he was on the site, so I IMed him (through the site itself.) We talked for a little bit, then exchanged AIM screen names and talked for another hour and a half. Then I had to go out with my friend Sarah, so we signed off. He was kinda mad at me for having to go! Well, when I got home, I dropped him a line because he was away but he came back just after that and we ended up talking for more than two hours. Just about everything. He seems a little shy (and a little horny...) but nice all the same. I can't say I know him THAT well, but I really am interested in knowing more, you know?

So that's that. My fingers are crossed. This could be something awesome.
