Being away at school gave me the chance to forget that everything here is falling apart. Not with my family. If anything, our relationships are stronger than ever before. But my friends are almost non-existant. I got to forget that really, we don't know each other like we once did. I got to forget that Kenny is leaving in less than a month, maybe for good. That most of the people I care most about don't even live in our hometown anymore.

Sigh. Today has just been one big bummer. I need to go do something to lift my spirits. Perhaps drinking...

It is just apart of life. I think it is the first time you discover that most of your childhood friends grow apart after your school year is the hardest. That why I cut off one finger from each of my friends and wear them around my neck. You know to remember them, since nothing helps you remember like a pice of their flesh! robot

I've got a few friends from HS and before that I keep in touch with from time-to-time. Over the years I've met folks all over the world via different jobs and missions.

Don't look at it so much as losing friends. Look at it as exploring new friendships. Some friends you'll have forever, some will come and go from your life as time passes. Enjoy it all, and don't be afraid to build new relationships.
