So I've been listening to Air America Radio every day since it went on the air last Wednesday. Can't get over how great it is to hear a dissenting opinion in this country. When the Bush administration set the cycle of lies and war in motion, most rallied around the flag as a knee jerk reaction of what's expected of them. Others reflected about the gravity of the situation and offered cautious support. Then there are those who marched to a different drummer. Seeing their duty and purpose as sticking to the ideals upon which this nation was founded and claims to protect and defend. Glad to see that opinion has finally gotten the attention it deserves.

On a very different subject, I'm looking forward to my NY Islanders opening up their first round best of seven playoff series tonight against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Unfortunately, I'm working and wont be able to watch the game. Thanks to NHL.com I can listen to it via the web. My prediction: Islanders in 6 games.

punks not dead,

i totally agree with you about aar. i get so excited listening to it, which is where i start to double check myself, but i'm getting past it. but i'm into it, franken is smart and so funny. and i like your protest analogy, it is a rallying the troops kind of thing. i talk to my wife and friends all the time about how we all hate the gov't, so it would make sense to not worry too much about the aar slant.

for a smaller city portland had really big turnouts for the day the war started protest and the one year anniversary. it really bolsters my spirit to be at those things.
