The Guest from Hell

Okay, so I just sent off my guest from California this morning, and I can't begin to tell you how happy I am that she is gone. This girl was 27 but she acted like she was 6. She was no doubt spoiled rotten as a child and thus cannot interact properly with others now. Here are some examples of what I had to deal with this week:

1. She wanted to meet some of my friends so I was all set to take her to a Memorial Day party that was being thrown by one of my friends. Well, when she learned that my friends at the party were not Asian (they are mostly Caucasian and African American) she said something pretty racist so I decided not to take her. Later that night, she was still pestering me to introduce her to some of my Asian friends (because that's all that she has are Asian friends) so I called up my neighbor and asked if we could stop by. She agreed, but then spoiled brat decided she was sleepy and wanted to go to bed instead - nevermind that I had just asked my neighbor if we could come over.

2. Spoiled brat cannot walk very far - she wanted to go see NYU but after leaving my apartment and going 2 blocks she said she "needed to stop and rest awhile." How are you ever going to get anywhere in NYC if you need to stop and rest all the time?

3. Spoiled brat would ask me to take her somewhere and then when it was taking to long to get there she would abruptly change her mind and decide she wanted to do something else. The girl has no patience at all.

4. Spoiled brat would order food and then find out that she didn't like what she ordered. She would then proceed to try and eat my food, which I shared, but still, she didn't ask or anything but would just stick her fork into my plate.

5. I caught Spoiled brat sticking her finger in the peanut butter - mind you that I don't know her that well, which I will elaborate in point #6, but I still think even if you know someone well you shouldn't be sticking your fingers into their peanut butter - that's what spoons are for.

6. Spoiled brat lives in San Francisco, and is the daughter of a family friend. I had only met her on one occasion prior to her visit this week, and that was for about 2 hours. She asked if she could come visit NYC, and that if I had to work on some days she could explore NYC herself. I thought no big deal and said yes. However, after arriving here, she never did go out into NYC by herself. She would get lost, because she never made an effort to remember how we got places. The subway is only 3 blocks from my apartment, but every day that we went, she would still ask me, where are we going - even though it was obvious we were going down the same street to the subway! She never left the apartment while I was there - I felt like I was babysitting a 5 year old.

7. Spoiled brat clogged the toilet but didn't notice and while she was taking a shower it proceeded to overflow all over the bathroom - a very disgusting mess which I made her clean up.

8. I told Spoiled brat that she was spoiled and she said "I know" and then she proceeded to cry all night...........

9. No doubt that she is not very responsible because someone is always doing things for her - she lost her ATM card while here, and she also forgot to bring her cell phone charger.

10. Spoiled brat never puts things up or closes them - she would leave the milk out of the fridge and she would leave bread open.

These are just a few examples, there are countless more...........she has to be one of the worst houseguests that I've ever had! She invited me to come to San Francisco, but I don't want to ever see her again............ eeek
