I just got back from another one of those volunteer thingys........volunteered at the women's shelter again. Tonight I was paired with this really smart 8 year old boy named Randy. He was an avid reader - he finished 4 books during our hour. He was a really nice boy too, as he made a card during the arts and crafts portion for his 2 sisters......I know when I was 8 I was always fighting with my sis........such a nice kid.......and I met another cute girl at this project, so I'm feeling pretty good right now. I think doing good things for others helps good things happen to you.........maybe there is such a thing as karma.

the weekend for me usually means work. i haven't had a weekend off in a very long time. and i usually end up sleeping through most of my days off. i think i'm calling in sick today so that i can get caught up on laundry.
