just another thing i've learned from Dave Chapelle (you'd be surprised how long this list truly is) :

i have a badonkadonk.

yeah...there's finally a name for my big white ass!

*hot damn!*
broadwaybee:
"Is pimping.... easy?"

"Oh HELL yeah."

.....

"Somehow, you are correct"

BAHAHAHAHAHAhAHAHAAA
biggrin
kingsnake:
big white ass? uh...

get out and "work off" the "ass" at the MoCCA show wink Today will be a prime show and I do believe that you can get back in if you leave. Yesterday I got to meet Charles Burns, who was really a nice guy. Oh, and also hung with Futura...KAWS...NY LASE... biggrin

falling...out...of...society...

man, have i turned into a homebody. i've been working up a storm (very good to make money), and it has left me totally exhausted. haven't run for a week, am eating too many sweets (ack!), and am caught up in the work-eat-sleep mode.

not healthy, but when work calls...ya gotta answer the phone.

so my apologies to my SG friends, if any of...

I'm not too familiar with Brooklyn; are you anywhere near Red Hook?
A friend of mine is an animal trainer on Broadway and he has an apartment sublet there with all his dogs he has in two shows.
I only know Brookly enough to get to his place and back out again.

Get out of the house; tomorrow will be beautiful... have to feed the soul too, you know... smile

oh the fun we have...

o.k., i am one of those women who rarely gets hit on. i must look intimidating, or something, or just too fucking gorgeous (ha!) because i just have never had the kind of life where guys or girls wander up to me at bars. (now me wandering up to hotties after a few drinkies...that's another story. cgilbe1 can tell you...

I was at some bar in our turf in Brooklyn -the Yabby before they closed it down- and some guy who appeared very out of place there offered to buy me a drink. I was kind of creeped out at the time, but looking back at it I'm kind of flattered. smile

i *heart* toast.

especially when i'm recovering. we have some friends moving to Texas next week, so last night was their big send off. dinner at La Palapa (lovely! and bette indulged in cheeze...oh, heaven!) then down to Motor City, and finally off to Manatoba's to gaze lovingly at Handsome Dick and drink wayyyy too many PBRs.

the Texas-bound kids had an excellent time, and...

NYC as always was unbelievable sorry I missed you, Im sure you had fun in New Orleans.

that's right, my sisters and brothers...my ass IS in fact too metal for just one hand!! bwahahaha!

(and i like the fact that the girl modelling the undies is sportin' a real booty...not one of those fake, 13-year old boy butts that i see all over the celebrity rags. i mean really, people --...

Does that hand come with the panties? I think that would be worth it if you had another person's hand randomly around them biggrin

Those are hot, though. I've seen some that have "AC/DC" on the butt and for me, that's marriage material if a gal wore 'em...

As someone with an ample dose of padding in the rear I may well have to invest in a pair of those myself. biggrin

Totally agree with you on the skinny chick front. Woman with curves and bums and thighs and round tummies are far more beautiful than knarly twigs whose bones show through their skin.

One of my favourite quotes on the subject comes from Barbara Cartland who said "If you were a man what would you rather hold in your arms at night, a pillow or a stick?"

i am a domestic punk rock *demi*goddess.

this week, i've made, from scratch:

creole cornbread
tomato sauce with spicy italian sausage
risotto with sun-dried tomatoes and fresh basil
rice krispie treats with chocolate chips.

(and i say demi-goddess only because i managed to burn a pan while melting the butter for the krispie treats. there was something wrong with that pan to begin with, i'm...

Shit girl, you are a goddess -- no denying that biggrin

The stuff you made sounds solid -- tomorrow is my big cooking day, which I've been looking forward to.

And yeah, anything that has copious amounts of sugar needs non-stick, unless you're someone who enjoys scrubbing the pans!

RETURNING FROM JAZZ FEST!

damn, am i tired. i guess it's good that i don't have any gigs until next week.

and i'm sorry to everyone that i fell off the mat for a while. i'll try to be better. this seems to be a trend right now (i've noticed other SGers taking a break), but there's just a lot of wierd shit...

I'm happy for people when they take breaks -- that means they're living life away from the computer.

Good for you! smile

PS -- I was in the "Health Food" store today and ended up walking out and getting what I was looking for in C-Town.

Not returning my phone calls?

Or emails?

SOB!

biggrin oh wait, I totally forgot you were taking off the same time I was. D'oh!

We need to get over to the Levine Gallery to see the Daniel Martin Diaz / Todd Schorr show...

Drinks some time this week to get caught up?

o.k., sorry, yes, i have been bad about updating. no good excuse other than i've been working a lot. (which is good! work = money! yay!)

two interesting things:

1 - i interviewed for a gig at a magazine. different, but very, very cool. we'll see what happens.

2 - my girl heather came into town this weekend (one of my creative managers from a...

for those of you keeping track, this is the all-too-short list of Bette's purchases from yesterday:

- instant miso soup bags from Pearl River
- a banana on the street
- anti-bacteria wipes -- after having woman-handled a good chunk of the wears being pawned in Chinatown, i got hungry. but for those of you who have also embraced germ-a-phobe lifestyle in NYC, you know...

Unlike Alyk I did a reverse -- moved from living like a king to living like an "arteest" without the bad clothes.

Yeah, around here everyone is taking up the ass without a reacharound. The funniest thing that I've seen since I moved here was tax-free week. Who has the cash to take advantage of that? Plus it seems like the stores jack up the prices around that time anyway.

I say enjoy yourself before you're crippled, in depends and are 60...
