For the first time since December 2001, I am completely unemployed. I've always been able to find "something" to help cobble together an existence.
Saturday after I got done with my weekly air-shift on one of our local radio stations, I was asked to turn in my keys and told my services were no longer required, and I was escorted out of the building. I'd worked in radio since August 2007, and had my own show since November 2008.
It's strange knowing that for now, radio is something I only get to listen to, and not be a part of.
