Work is horrendous lately. Last night there was NOBODY and we must've easily had 10 admissions, 15 post procedural patients... there was like 5 nurses and 2 techs for 33 patients. I KILLED myself. I didn't even leave the hospital until 12:30. Thank god classes were cancelled today cuz' of the snow. Then Roxxsolid calls around 10:30, which cheers me up immensely, but I could only talk to him for like 5 minutes cuz' I was still so busy. Usually 10:30 is downtime when I can actually sit and do some charting before I leave. I also find out that one of my bestest friends, my coworker and classmate Ricardo (yes, the same latin lover, hehe) is a patient on our sister unit, West 3, cuz' he had an appendectomy. Poor guy. So I went to see him around 11:45 and stayed for 45 minutes. He's on a PCA (patient controlled anesthetic, push button narcotics) and keeps vomiting. So I washed him up a little, gave him ice chips and some zofran, changed his bed linens and left. And passed out. But have no class today. SWEET!
Tonight we're going to see the Sensational Soul Cruisers tonight, they're SUCH a kickass party band. YAY social life! Then tomorrow I get to cook dinner for my dad and stepmom. La-dee-FREAKING-dah. Hehe.
But I had a total revelation the other night. Not to inflate Roxx's ego any more, but I've figured out that most guys are totally effing clueless as to what really gets a girl off. They brag that they know, but they really don't. Roxx actually does! I'm so fucking in love. It's scary.
