Top Ten Life's lessons learned (so far):

1. Children understand more than you think they do. Careful what you say, children will listen.

2. Coffee gets me through any day.

3. When giving enemas, stand clear, as impacted feces explodes when the colon is irritated (FDNYMedic, Irishlibra, I know you guys are laughing)

4. Do not trust or love blindly and just hope by fate that they will love you back and never break your trust.

5. Sometimes "the dance" is worth missing to avoid the pain.

6. When given the opportunity, members of the opposite sex WILL fuck you over if the grass is greener on the other side.

7. Nothing soothes like prescription narcotics.

8. People die, pets die, and it sucks ass.

9. Passion isn't necessarily the way to go. Sometimes comfort is where it's at.

AND

10. There is no fate. You make your own fate.
