I have ADHD. I’ve been on meds that have helped, but the side effects always end up outweighing the benefits. I stopped taking meds and have been trying to wing it and adapt the best I can.

One of the things I struggle most with is PROCRASTINATION . I’m particularly bad with responding to messages and emails. If I don’t answer right away, it may be months before I actually open a message and respond to it. Seeing the notifications of messages I haven’t read yet makes me feel guilty and embarrassed that I haven’t responded timely. I then proceed to tell myself over and over how awful it is to not answer. Then I continue to avoid opening the message even longer out of embarrassment .

So, if I ever take awhile responding to anything, I really mean no disrespect by it. I know it’s not the nice thing to do. I have the want be better about it, but my want to do something and my ability to actually make my body/brain do it don’t often line up. All I can say for myself is I keep trying to get better at it😋
